The Pastoral Council met on August 13 and September 10 with new Chairperson Sabrina Saladino presiding. Dennis Macha was elected new Vice-Chairperson and Martin Zimmermann was confirmed as Recorder. During the August 13 meeting, the Council reviewed and approved of the proposed policy for rental and use of the Parish Activity Center (now known as the Monsignor Malinowski Center). The policy includes parishioner and non-parishioner rates. The back "multi" purpose gathering room will not be rented. It is solely for parish use. The Council then discussed the why the access code to the Chapel was changed and suggested that the parish be updated about the status of the Our Faith our Legacy capital campaign. During the September 10 meeting, the Council discussed final preparations for the dedication and blessing of the Monsignor Malinowski Center and the fundraiser dinner for the center planned for October 15. Fr. Patrick updated the Council on the upcoming Advent mission (December 5-10) with Fr. Tony Stevens of the Fathers of Mercy. Fr. Tony will preach every mass that week. The first mission talk will be on Sunday night, December 6. Judy Comeaux updated the Council about the upcoming young adult retreat (Youth 2000) which is planned for October 23-25 in the gym. The Council was also made aware of and was concerned about the low enrollment at the Learning and Play Station.
