The Finance Council is instituted by Canon Law and Diocesan policy.  It is a consultative body whose mission is to assist the pastor in general administrative matters, the preparation of an annual budget and the reporting of Parish financial activities at least once a year.

Membership consists of the Pastor, the Parish bookkeeper and eight parishioners at-large appointed by the Pastor.  The Council meets quarterly coordinates on many issues with other organizations, and provides consultation on an ad hoc basis to the Pastor for non-routine issues of a financial nature.
