St. Anthony of Padua Relic
A first-class relic of St. Anthony of Padua, Italy (a small piece of the flesh of St. Anthony) has been given to St. Anthony Church, Bryan, TX on a permanent basis for public veneration.
* Fr. Mario Conte, the Executive Editor of St. Anthony Messenger, brought the precious relic from Padua, Italy.
* Bishop Joe S. Vasquez, Bishop of Austin placed the relic for public veneration during a Mass at 6:00 p.m. on October 18, 2017.
* Immediately after the Mass, there was a candle light procession with the relic (half a mile distance) covering all the facilities of St. Anthony Church.
Starting from November:
* The church will stay open on all Tuesdays for veneration from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be Eucharistic Adoration from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Mass at 5:30 p.m.; then Novena to St. Anthony and blessing with the relic.
* The church will stay open for veneration on all Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a Mass at 5:00 p.m.
* If a pilgrim group wishes to come on another day, they may call Becky Scamardo, Parish Business Administrator, @ 979-823-8145 to schedule an appointment so the church is unlocked for them.
* If a group is coming accompanied by a priest, with prior notice, we will provide you with the opportunity to celebrate Mass with the group. (Priests coming from outside the Diocese of Austin should bring the Letter of Suitability from their Bishop).
All are welcome to St. Anthony Church, 308 S. Parker Ave., Bryan, TX 77803 to enjoy the blessings of the Lord through the intercession of the great miracle worker St. Anthony.
